Dr. Veronica Solaris has been researching and working with survivors of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder since 2002. In 2019, she began working within the Worker’s Compensation System as part of a complex functional restoration program and is now at Auxilium Mental Health assisting individuals and U.S. Veterans with overcoming chronic pain, depression, anxiety, acute stress, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other related disorders.
"I consider my gentle approach as aimed in helping individuals establish a relationship of trust, respect, and empowerment. I assist them in making realistic goals and provide them ongoing motivation to resolve their unique presenting difficulties. I meet individuals where they are and guide them using their resilience and natural strengths to acquire new coping skills to survive and thrive with today’s diverse challenges. The collaborative goal is to resolve their various types of emotional distress, pain, and injury to acquire inner peace, restore meaning back into their lives, and return them to being their “Best Self.”" Here at Auxilium, she is a Psychological Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Justin Lapilusa utlizing evidenced based methods to assist her patients in their collaborative recovery and overall success. She is trained in ACT, CBT, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, Mindfulness, and Seeking Safety. |
